World-class sound, extreme logistical challenges, and a demanding industrial venue – that sums up our trip to Tbilisi this June, where we provided full sound production for the legendary 4GB Festival.
Created as a tribute to the late Georgian DJ Gio Bakanidze, the festival returned this year in the form of a one-night celebration. The event took place at the unique Radio City industrial complex – a massive concrete hall with low ceiling beams and structural columns that posed a serious acoustic challenge.
Thanks to thorough pre-production planning using Funktion-One’s Projection software, our trusted Vero VX system, and the incredible effort of our team, everything came together perfectly – even though customs delays meant the gear wasn’t released until the evening before the event, leaving us with just a few overnight hours to get everything up and running.
We’re proud to share that this collaboration was featured on the official Funktion-One website, in a detailed article highlighting the entire project – including insights from our Head Sound Engineer Alex Limburg and Co-Founder Kevin Dobson.
